Meet Our Director

My name is Keeley Cavanagh

I’ve called Cloverdale home my whole life, and dance has been part of my journey since the very beginning. At just two years old, after countless requests for music, my mom enrolled me in my very first ballet class at the local recreation centre. From there, I quickly fell in love with tap, jazz, and musical theatre — and I never looked back.

My passion for teaching began early, with my little brother as my very first student. By the age of 10, I had started a dance club at my school and was always finding ways to bring dance into every part of my life.

After many years as a competitive dancer, I went on to study at Simon Fraser University, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor’s in Media and Education. During that time, I continued to teach at Dance Xpressions, choreograph for my former high school’s dance team, and further my training in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Vancouver.

In 2014, I was thrilled to purchase Dance Xpressions — a dream come true that allowed me to combine my love for dance, teaching, and community. Today, I’m proud to own a studio in my hometown where I can share the joy of dance with the next generation of young dancers.

For me, Dance Xpressions isn’t just a studio — it’s a place where children can grow in confidence, creativity, and self-expression, all while discovering a lifelong love of movement.
